Get into the true Christmas spirit when “ Sukkerfabrikken ” in Tranekær on Langeland opens its doors to our cozy and inspiring Christmas market on the first weekend of Advent. Experience a warm and welcoming atmosphere where creativity, craftsmanship, and community come together to celebrate the magic of Christmas.
We invite you to explore a world of art and crafts, rich in soul and history. Here you’ll find everything from unique jewelry and ceramics to paintings and locally produced specialties—perfect as personalized Christmas gifts or to treat yourself.
B&B at the NÆR Festival
Bed & Breakfast in connection with the NÆR Festival at Broløkke
NÆR is the title of an innovative poetic music festival taking place at Broløkke Herregård on Langeland, featuring an impressive lineup of performers. The festival supports a charitable cause, with all proceeds going to the charity project “De vildeste fugle,” which assists families affected by alcohol abuse who cannot afford treatment.
Accommodations for Week 31 - At the Tranekær Medieval Days Festival
As part of the Tranekær Medieval Days, we also offer lodging at the old sugar factory, built in 1804, here in Tranekær. The charming old hallways and cells at the center create a monastery-like atmosphere.
Our rooms are available for booking all week long, from Monday through Sunday, so you can continue your journey through time even after the day's adventures are over.

We are delighted to invite you to an exclusive art experience at Sukkerfabrikken in Tranekær on Langeland, in collaboration with Gallerie Rasmus. Mark your calendar now for Sunday, March 31, 2024, when we’ll open our doors at 1:00 p.m. and welcome you to an unforgettable day dedicated to art.
This special event also marks our 20th anniversary at Sukkerfabrikken. It has been an amazing journey for us as a family since we took over the property back in 2004, when we began sowing the seeds that have since blossomed into our vision for Sukkerfabrikken.
