PRACTICAL

  • Yes. All participants will receive a welcome email with practical information at least one week before the event starts.

    This will be sent to the same email address used to purchase your ticket.

    Please check your spam folder if you have not received it.

  • - Car: There is free parking and ample space in the area around the Adamas centre. There are public charging stations for electric cars within a 3-minute walk.
    - FlixBus runs to Rudkøbing on Langeland. From there, Fynbus runs to Tranekær Slot.
    - DSB: Trains run to Svendborg. From there, the bus runs to Tranekær Slot.
    - Bus: Fynbus runs directly to Tranekær and stops 100 metres from the Adamas centre. The bus stop is called Tranekær Slot.

  • Yes. There are public charging stations for electric cars within a 3-minute walk from the centre.

    It is not permitted to draw power from the houses on site.

  • Yes. If it is only for ordinary indoor lighting, you are welcome to run a cable from the building.

    It is important that the cable is laid safely. The vehicle must be positioned close to the building from which the power is drawn, and the cable should lie on the ground with something covering it to prevent tripping. Similarly, the window from which the power is drawn must be securely closed to prevent it from blowing open. Furthermore, there must be no outdoor connections that could get wet and short-circuit the power in the house.

  • Yes. There is Wi-Fi in all buildings, which you can use for checking emails and similar tasks. However, it cannot support streaming, social media, or similar activities.

    We are located in nature on a small island where mobile internet is scarce. We see this as a gift and encourage all participants to remain offline throughout their stay to be fully present in the moment.

  • We recommend leaving your mobile phone at home or keeping it completely switched off during your stay. However, it is your choice.

    You will not need your mobile phone to participate in the festival, and you will probably be even more present in the moment without it.

    Should an emergency arise where relatives need to contact you, they can always call Sukkerfabrikken directly and be put through to you. Additionally, an emergency phone is available on site 24 hours a day.

  • All lost property we find is placed in the lost property box.

    The box is located outdoors by the workshop, close to the waste bins. Here you can always look for your lost property.

    Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to send items to you or to keep track of what is in the box.

    Lost property is kept for 14 days and then sent for recycling.

    Please note: Valuables such as wallets, digital devices, keys, and similar items are kept in our office and can be collected by the rightful owner for up to 3 months after the event.

    Valuables are the only lost property we offer to send to you after the event has concluded. You will be charged for shipping costs and an administration fee of DKK 250.

    Please note that Adamas Center does not assume any responsibility for personal belongings – the above is considered a service and not a guarantee that you will be able to recover lost items, whether they are valuables or other items such as clothing.

  • Simply show up at the workshop you wish to attend. Places are allocated on arrival at each workshop.

    You are free to choose from the workshops on the programme each day. Some workshops accommodate a limited number of participants to ensure ample time, a calm working environment, and materials for everyone.

    The practical arrangements will also be explained at the festival's opening, so you will be naturally guided upon your arrival.

    Please come with openness and curiosity. Settle in gently at the centre, and allow yourself to be guided along the way.

    If a session is full, we will help you find another suitable workshop at the same time.

LANGUAGE

  • This depends on the facilitator(s) and is stated in the description for each event. See 'Events' in the top menu and select the relevant event.

  • If the teaching is in English and you are unsure if you can follow along.

    Then check the event description to see what other languages the facilitator speaks.

    If you are attending a festival, you can check the individual facilitators' profiles to see which languages they speak, and potentially choose workshops with facilitators who also speak Danish.

    Most of our facilitators speak fluent Danish.

    You will easily be able to ask the facilitator during a workshop if there are any words you are unsure of the meaning of.

    If the facilitator also speaks Danish, there is no expectation that you should speak or share in English in the plenum. You will easily be able to do so in Danish.

    The majority of participants at our events both speak and understand Danish.

CATERING

  • Yes. If you note your allergens when booking your ticket, the kitchen will do its best to accommodate them in the cooking.

    We can easily accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan diets.

    For other allergens, please contact us to discuss your needs.

    Please note: If you are attending a festival, a kitchen is also available for you to prepare your own meals.

  • Yes. If you are attending a stay with vegetarian food, there will be plenty of delicious homemade food at all meals. The dishes are also nourishing and satisfying.

  • Yes. All our buildings with rooms have at least a kitchenette and a fridge.

  • The café at the centre operates on a self-service basis.

    1) You can pay as you go using MobilePay.

    2) Alternatively, you can keep a running tab of what you take from the café and settle your bill on your last day before you depart.

    Here, you can pay with MobilePay, Dankort, Visa card, or cash in Danish kroner.

ACCOMMODATION

  • FESTIVALS
    Your ticket includes a tent pitch on the festival grounds, along with access to showers and toilets.

    Additionally, you can choose to purchase a bed in a room, subject to availability.

    You are also welcome to arrange your own accommodation outside the festival grounds.

    COURSES & OTHER EVENTS
    When you book your ticket, the accommodation options for the event will be specified.

    See “event” in the top menu and select the relevant event.

  • Generally, Tranekær is completely quiet at night. The sound level at the centre is lowered at 10 PM, and all music is switched off by 11 PM at the latest. This is out of consideration for both our guests and neighbours.

SHOWERS & TOILETS

  • Showers are located along the corridors indoors in all buildings.

TICKETS & ARRIVAL

  • Yes. Upon arrival, your ticket must be registered. This applies whether you are a facilitator, volunteer, or participant.

    You can either print your ticket or bring it digitally on your mobile phone.

    You received your ticket via email when you booked your place.

  • If you are travelling a long distance, we recommend arriving on the island the day before – or perhaps even a couple of days prior. This will give you time to settle in before activities begin.

    If it is possible to purchase accommodation for the days leading up to the event, this will be stated on the event page here on the website.

    Otherwise, Airbnb and langeland.dk can be good places to look.

  • FESTIVALS
    We strongly recommend arriving for check-in during the time specified in the programme. This is by far the easiest option.

    If you are unable to be present for check-in, please find the facilitator upon your arrival to make arrangements.

    COURSES
    If you know in advance that you will be delayed, please send us an email.
    Otherwise, please contact the facilitator upon arrival to make arrangements.

  • That depends on which event you have purchased a ticket for.

    COURSES AND RETREATS
    Most courses and retreats generally require attendance on all days.

    FESTIVALS
    There are no requirements regarding how many days you attend or how many hours you participate each day. You are free to come and go as you wish.
    However, we encourage you to attend on the opening day, when the framework for the festival will be reviewed. It is mandatory to be familiar with this information.

    See more under the individual event or contact us if you are in doubt.

    Regardless, it is not possible to resell your ticket to someone else for the days you do not attend.

  • If you are prevented from attending or for other reasons do not wish to participate, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person – provided you send us an email with the recipient's name, phone number, and email address before the event starts.

  • We do not sell day tickets for the festivals.

    This is to ensure a safe environment where participants get to know each other and there is space for process work.

    You can, of course, purchase a ticket for the entire festival and you are free to come and go as you please. However, we generally recommend that you stay on site for all days, both for your own benefit and for the group's.

  • Yes, you are welcome to resell your ticket to another person who meets the participation requirements for the event.

    1. You settle directly with the buyer.

    2. Please send an email to the Centre (CC the buyer) with the following information:

      • Your receipt that you received when you booked the ticket.

      • The text: “I hereby transfer my ticket to:

      • (Recipient's details)

        • First name

        • Last name

        • Address

        • Phone number

        • E-mail

      • Please note that it is important you write from the same email address you used when booking.

SAFETY, HEALTH & WELLBEING

  • To participate in activities at Adamas Center, it is a requirement that everyone treats each other respectfully. We do not permit disrespectful, condescending, hateful, or similar forms of communication or address – regardless of whether it pertains to gender, gender identity, sexual preference or orientation, ethnicity, age, ability, social affiliation, religious belief, or anything else.

  • Neither is permitted. Neither is necessary.

  • Smoking tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vaporisers is only permitted in designated areas.

  • Open fires, including candles, incense, bonfires, etc., are arranged and managed by the event organisers and must not be used by participants themselves.

  • We have a relaxed and natural approach to the body and nudity.
    Sauna and bathing areas are the natural place for full nudity.
    In other communal areas, we ask that genitals are covered out of respect for the community's diversity and mutual respect.
    Bare torsos are welcome for everyone.

    Nudity may be part of the framework for some workshops. This will always be clearly stated in advance.

  • It is not permitted to take photos, videos, or audio recordings during workshops.

    However, organisers may have a photographer present at some workshops to take photographs for marketing purposes.

    No compromising images will be taken, and as a participant, you can always request not to appear in the photographs, which also undergo subsequent review by the organisers.

    Any consent given can always be withdrawn by contacting the organisers.

  • Yes. All activities at the Adamas Centre are intended to be a confidential space between participants.

    Participants are not permitted to share information about activities or conversations held at the venue with any external parties.

    Participants may only share their own experiences without disclosing names, nicknames, or details about other participants.

    Therefore, any sharing of activities from the Adamas Centre must be done loyally and anonymously with respect to other participants.

    This is also stated in the participant terms and conditions.

  • To ensure everyone's well-being and health during events, we ask all participants to be mindful of their health before arrival. It is important to avoid infecting other participants – please be especially aware of illnesses such as influenza or COVID-19.

    Criteria for being infection-free:

    Flu: You are considered infection-free and can participate in activities if it has been at least 24 hours since your last fever without the use of fever-reducing medication, and you have otherwise shown significant improvement in other symptoms.

    COVID-19: You are considered infection-free and can participate in activities if it has been at least 48 hours since you last had symptoms without the use of fever-reducing medication. (Symptoms such as disturbances in smell and taste can last a long time and therefore do not count).

    We encourage everyone to practise good hand hygiene and cough/sneeze etiquette, regardless of symptoms, to maintain a safe and healthy environment at the Centre.

    If you are unsure about your health status, please contact us before your arrival to discuss it.

  • If you have a physical injury, such as back or knee pain, you are still welcome.

    Please inform the facilitator directly so you can make specific arrangements.

  • There is a first aid kit in the kitchenette at Sukkerfabrikken.

    There is a defibrillator at the estate office just across the main road, at Slotsgade 91 in Tranekær.

OTHER

  • Do you want to experience one of our festivals from a different perspective? Would you like to be part of the vibrant heart behind the scenes? Then this is a great opportunity; we are looking for dedicated individuals who want to spread love and joy as volunteers. Find out more here.

  • You can apply to become a facilitator at the festival here.

  • The average age of participants at the Adamas centre is between 30 and 65, depending on the event.

  • Yes. Thereis a treatment room at the festival for massages, healing sessions, and other treatments. You can book sessions there during the festival.

    You will find a list of therapists and prices on site, where you can also book and pay directly with them.

  • The maximum number of participants for each event is generally stated in the event description.

  • YES! Absolutely. We love glitter. However, for the sake of both cleaning and nature, only biodegradable products may be used. These are good for the environment and easy to clean.

FRIENDS, FAMILY & DOGS

  • If they are old enough to participate and have purchased a ticket, they are very welcome.

    See more under the individual event.

  • As a general rule, only participants with a ticket are permitted access.

    FESTIVALS
    It is not permitted to invite external guests to the festival.

    COURSES
    It is only permitted to invite external guests by prior arrangement with the facilitator.

  • We love lovely dogs, and they are generally very welcome outdoors at Sukkerfabrikken. Just make sure you keep your dog under control and that it doesn't disturb others on site. And, of course, you must ensure you clean up after it.

    Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside Sukkerfabrikken itself.

    If you are staying in one of the other buildings during your visit, it may be possible to have your dog stay in your room.

    If you are considering bringing your dog, this must be arranged with – and approved by – the organiser in advance.

    It is not possible to bring dogs to our festivals.

    Assistance dogs are exempt – but must be arranged in advance.
