PARTICIPANT
TERMS
Courses, Retreats & Festivals
CONFIDENTIALITY
I understand and accept that all activities at Tranekaer Center must be a confidential space among participants. No participant is permitted to disclose information about activities or conversations held on site to any outsiders. Participants may only share their own experiences without revealing names, nicknames, or details about other participants. Any dissemination of activities at Tranekaer Center must therefore be done loyally and anonymously in relation to other participants.
RESPECT AND CONSENT
I agree that all participants' boundaries must be respected and upheld at all times. Therefore, all activity between participants must only occur with consent, voluntarily, and with respect for each individual's boundaries. Participants collectively and individually take responsibility for clarifying each other's boundaries and ensuring consent for the activities taking place at Tranekaer Center.
You understand and accept that disrespectful, condescending, hateful or similar remarks and forms of address are not permitted, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, ability, social background, religious belief or other factors.
MUSIC AND NOISE LEVEL
Outdoor music volume and music in tents should be limited as much as possible, out of consideration for neighbours.
When playing loud music indoors, windows and doors to the rooms must be kept closed, out of consideration for neighbours.
All music must be turned off and the sound level lowered by 11 PM at the latest. This is out of consideration for both Tranekaer Center's guests and neighbours.
SELF-CARE
I understand that I am participating in an event that is not and cannot be a substitute for therapy or treatment, and I alone take responsibility for participating in a way that is compatible with my health and my physical, psychological, and emotional capacity. I understand that all participation is voluntary, and I take care to ensure that my boundaries are respected and that I do not participate in any activity that is incompatible with my capacity, my wishes, or my boundaries and preferences.
You understand that you can change your mind at any time, say no, withdraw from any activity, and leave the situation, room, or place. You agree to take care to communicate your boundaries, preferences, and wishes.
HEALTH & SAFETY
During your stay at Tranekaer Center, you agree not to consume alcohol or euphoric substances, including those that are legal, such as plants or fungi, for example Ayahuasca, cannabis oil, fly agaric. Smoking tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vaporisers is only permitted in designated areas.
Open flames, including candles, incense, and bonfires, must be arranged and managed by the centre's organisers and must not be used by participants themselves.
You are requested to inform the centre's organisers if you leave the event for any reason.
To ensure a safe and clear framework, we ask facilitators and participants not to enter into new sexual relationships with each other across these two roles during the festival. Sensual or sexual encounters in tantra workshops, where they are part of the facilitated space, are welcome but must not be continued outside the workshop.
You are not permitted to invite outsiders to the event at the centre.
When using glitter, only biodegradable products may be used.
Illness Policy
To ensure everyone's well-being and health during events, we ask that you are mindful of your health before arrival. It is important to avoid infecting other participants – please be especially aware of illnesses such as influenza or COVID-19.
If you have an infectious disease or clear symptoms of illness, we ask you to stay home or contact the organisers before arrival.
We encourage everyone to practise good hand hygiene and cough/sneeze etiquette, regardless of symptoms, to maintain a safe and healthy environment at the centre. If you are unsure about your status, please contact us before your arrival to discuss your health.
CONSIDERATION
We have a relaxed and natural approach to body and nudity.
Toplessness is welcome for everyone at Tranekaer Center.
Sauna and bathing areas are the natural place for full nudity.
In other common areas, we ask that genitals are covered out of consideration for the community's diversity and mutual respect.
In some workshops, nudity may be part of the framework. This will always be clearly stated in advance.
Outside Tranekaer Center, clothing is worn as normal, and we show consideration for the neighbours in the village.
MEDIA POLICY
You are not permitted to take photos, videos, or audio recordings of other people at the centre.
However, the organisers may have a photographer present who will take photographs for marketing purposes. No compromising images will be taken, and as a participant, you can always request not to appear in the photos, which also undergo subsequent review by the organisers. Any given consent can be withdrawn by contacting the organisers.
INSURANCE AND LIABILITY
It is each participant's own responsibility to ensure they have their own insurance during their stay. Neither the organisers nor Tranekaer Center accept responsibility for lost or damaged items, nor can they be held liable for any other damage that may arise in connection with participation in the event or during your stay.
Should Danish law on liability lead to a different outcome, the liability of the organisers and/or Tranekaer Center shall be capped at DKK 10,000 per claim.
Any dispute arising from these terms and conditions or participation in or the holding of the event shall be subject to Danish law, with the City Court of Copenhagen as the legal venue.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
As a visitor to the centre, you are responsible for your personal belongings at all times.
See more under our FAQ regarding lost property.
TREATMENTS BY EXTERNAL PRACTITIONERS
At some of our events, you have the opportunity to book treatments with independent practitioners who use our premises.
The treatments are offered and carried out by the practitioners independently, and they operate their businesses independently of Tranekaer Center. Agreements regarding treatment are therefore made directly between you and the individual practitioner.
Tranekaer Center is not party to these agreements and therefore bears no responsibility for the content or execution of the treatment. Any matters related to the treatment, such as experience, effect, side effects, or disagreements, should be handled directly with the practitioner.
If you have any questions or feedback regarding a treatment, you are always welcome to contact the practitioner concerned.

Tickets for events, courses, retreats, and festivals with a fixed date are covered by the exception to the right of withdrawal for leisure activities, in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
