At Tranekaer Center, we work with nature. Nature is all around us and within us.
The forest edge begins in the center's garden, and the forest animals are right there.
Nature’s resources are vast. Nature provides us with so much. Next to the Adamas Center are the Medicinal Gardens, which are Northern Europe’s largest collection of medicinal plants.
Nature is also the greatest artist, and we focus on it in our work with art. We can imitate it and draw inspiration from it—but everything we do is inspired by nature and its resources. No matter how hard we try as humans, we will never reach the same level. At Adamas, we have great respect and care for the master who has given us life.
Tranekær Wishing Tree
At the entrance to the forest near Sukkerfabrikken stands a plane tree that is about 250 years old—known as the Tranekær Wishing Tree. Artist Livia Drake has transformed the site into a living work of art where visitors can hang their intentions and let their thoughts take shape in nature.
The Wishing Tree is a place for contemplation, hope, and connection in the heart of the countryside.
