Welcome to a creative sanctuary
Do you dream of learning the goldsmith's craft and creating your own piece of jewellery with your hands? Now you can join our new jewellery courses for beginners in our new workshop by the old town hall in Tranekær.
Instruction with Presence and Expertise
The course is led by goldsmith Mille Heindorf, who will gently and expertly guide you into the world of goldsmithing. Classes take place in small, intimate groups with a maximum of five participants, allowing ample time for presence, guidance, and deep immersion in the process.
You will learn fundamental goldsmithing techniques while also having the opportunity to explore your own artistic expression. During the course, you will create a unique piece of jewellery that carries your personal story and energy. The process can be both meditative and inspiring – a special break from everyday life where creativity is allowed to flourish.
The Workshop – A Place Filled with Peace and Inspiration
The newly furnished workshop at the town hall is filled with light, warmth, and inspiration. Here, your hands are free to create while your thoughts settle.
Each participant has their own dedicated workstation, and the workshop is fully equipped with all the necessary goldsmithing tools – from saws, files, and soldering equipment to polishing machines and specialised tools. The space is designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind, allowing you to work with focus in calm and beautiful surroundings.
Take Your Creation Home
During the course, you can also receive individual guidance on what you need to get started with your own small goldsmithing workshop at home – whether you dream of continuing it as a hobby or taking the first steps towards a more creative everyday life.
You don't need any prior experience – just the desire to learn and create. All materials and tools are provided during the course.
Accommodation in Tvillingehuset
During your stay, you will have a private room in the cosy Tvillingehuset, right next to the workshop – a charming base with space for peace, creativity, and perhaps new friendships.
The small group size fosters peace and presence, and a special sense of community and support often develops among participants – both during work and breaks.
A course for those who long to create with their hands and immerse themselves in an aesthetic and sensory craft within beautiful, historic surroundings.
Nature Right Outside Your Door
The course's location in the heart of Tranekær makes it easy to find peace and fresh inspiration in nature. During breaks, there are ample opportunities for walks – the beautiful Slotsallé begins right outside your door, and both forest and beach are within walking distance. Here, you can let your thoughts wander, feel the rhythm of the landscape, and gather renewed energy for your creative work at the workshop table.

If you have any specific physical considerations, you are still warmly welcome.
Just let us know – the facilitator will help adapt the activities so you have a rewarding and enriching experience regardless. The most important thing is that you listen to your body and take good care of yourself.
The Facilitators
Mille Heindorf
Mille Heindorf is both a trained goldsmith and an educator – a combination that brings a unique sense of security and depth to her teaching. She has worked with jewellery art since 2006 and has many years of experience conveying aesthetic craftsmanship in a present and grounded way.
Mille is a central part of the team behind the Adamas Center, where, with passion and calm, she facilitates creative processes and meaningful encounters between people. Her approach is both professionally grounded and humanly warm – and she is passionate about supporting others in unfolding their creative joy.
Ninna Arbo
Ninna Arbo participates as a guest facilitator, focusing on the creative process and the design phase. She is an artist and spiritual guide, contributing a sensory and wholehearted approach to shaping. Ninna supports participants in unfolding their ideas and meets with presence the feelings that often arise during the creative process – whether it's doubt, frustration, or uncertainty. She helps bring calm, clarity, and courage into personal expression.

Get inspired
Here you can see examples of jewellery created by previous participants – for example, handmade rings with a personal touch, pendants inspired by nature, or small symbols forged in silver. Each piece holds its own story – shaped with hands, heart, and curiosity. You will experience how materials, symbols, and personal choices are transformed into small works of art with soul and character.
Many participants describe the course as a creative oasis and an unforgettable experience that brought both calm, pride, and new creative joy.
Mindful food and community
All meals of the day are included during the course. Breakfast is self-service and ready in the house, so you can freely choose your time and pace.
Lunch and dinner are prepared and served by the Centre's kitchen, where emphasis is placed on homemade food with good, organic ingredients. The dishes are flavourful, nourishing, and satisfying – and created with care for both the body and the senses.
After each meal, participants help with tidying up, as part of the communal spirit that underpins the course. Working together creates presence – even around the table.
The kitchen is, of course, happy to accommodate allergies and special dietary needs. This can be added here
Accommodation
Each participant gets a cosy single room in Tvillingehuset.
There are sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, and a towel in the room.
Of course, double rooms are also available if you wish. Just mention who you wish to share a room with when booking your ticket.
The Area
Tranekær Castle is nearby. The entire castle village is protected and offers a historical experience. Around the castle, there is a large lake with a bathing jetty, right by the charming old tea pavilion. Furthermore, the beach is only 2 km away if you fancy a morning dip in the sea. The area boasts wonderfully beautiful nature, and the forest starts directly in our garden.

Materials
We have gold, silver, and gemstones in stock for you to work with. Materials are calculated individually depending on your design and whether you wish to work with silver or gold. Prices for silver start from approximately 300 DKK and are settled on the last day.
Furthermore, there are ample opportunities to find natural materials for your jewellery just outside.
You are also welcome to bring your own materials, such as stones or old gold/silver, to the course. We will work with simple melting and casting techniques, where the metal can be transformed into, for example, spheres or beautiful, organic shapes by pouring the molten metal into water. This gives you the chance to create a unique piece of jewellery with a personal story and new energy.
Experience
You do not need any experience with goldsmith craftsmanship to participate in the course. The course is for anyone interested.
To ensure you complete your project, we generally recommend creating the following types of jewellery, based on your experience with goldsmithing:
If you are a beginner: Pendants or earrings.
If you have some experience: Pendants, earrings, or a narrow ring.
If you have more experience: Pendants, earrings, stud earrings, a narrow/wide ring, or a brooch.
Setting
You can easily create simple settings for raw stones and natural materials, either by wrapping threads to hold them or by gluing them together. The facilitators will guide you on this, depending on your design.
Setting faceted gemstones:
- If you have experience setting faceted gemstones and do not require teaching, you will also be able to work with settings on the course. The tools are available.
- If you do not have experience with this type of setting, it will require a separate setting course to learn the basic techniques for that part.

ARE YOU UNSURE?
If you are considering participating and would like to meet the facilitator beforehand to get a sense of whether this is for you, we offer a phone call or an online meeting via Messenger/FaceTime. Simply fill out the contact form below, and the facilitator will contact you to arrange a meeting.

Transport:
- Car: There is free parking and ample space in the area around Adamas Center. Public charging stations for electric cars are available within a 3-minute walk.
- FlixBus travels to Rudkøbing on Langeland. From there, Fynbus goes to Tranekær Castle.
- DSB: Trains run to Svendborg. From there, the bus goes to Tranekær Castle.
- Bus: Fynbus travels directly to Tranekær and stops 100 metres from Adamas Center. The stop is called Tranekær Castle.
- Carpooling: We also create a private Facebook group for participants at each event, offering the opportunity to arrange carpooling.
