Mand21

Mand21 is created through the collaboration of 30-35 men: facilitators, group leaders, musicians, magicians, sound engineers, photographers, and volunteers, who make everything come together. At Mand21, you will meet both highly experienced facilitators and new talents. Everyone is passionate about men's work and holding space for other men.

What will you gain?

A weekend focused on what YOU long for – we will help and support you in looking inwards and truly feeling.

A weekend where we help you identify your patterns and what holds you back from achieving what you long for.

A weekend where we help you find the strength and courage to take the next important step in life.

A series of practical exercises, practices, and hacks you can use in your daily life.

Experienced facilitators and group leaders who are accustomed to holding space for others' processes.

A magical setting, brotherhood, and a close network of men you can continue to work with afterwards.

What will I gain from participating in Mand21?

Many men attend Mand21 to take a break from everyday life and truly reflect: What matters to me? What do I long for? Am I spending my life and time on things that nourish me? How can I better express my needs in a healthy way? How can I have a better sex life? How can I set boundaries and avoid becoming passively aggressive? How can I inspire and be there for my children in a busy daily life? Where do I find the courage and strength to pursue and manifest the things I dream of but perhaps don't allow myself? How do I find peace with things and circumstances I cannot change? How can I find light and take small steps even when things and situations seem overwhelming?

In smaller groups, shared rituals, and facilitated optional workshops, you will have the opportunity to delve into the things you dream of and struggle with in life.

What do you do to create a safe environment for everyone?

At Mand21, we work extensively to create a safe environment. Among other things, we work in smaller groups (sharing groups). We use experienced facilitators and group leaders. All exercises, workshops, and rituals are invitations.

At Mand21, you do not need to live up to any ideals of what a 'real man' is. We support you in becoming more of yourself and the person you long to be. We have a team of facilitators who can provide support if you need help or someone to talk to during the event.

What if there's an exercise I don't want to participate in?

We generally expect everyone to participate in the communal morning, midday, and evening sessions, as well as the group activities. In addition, there are afternoon workshops that you can choose to join.

If at any point you need to step out or take a break, you are, of course, welcome to do so. We 100% respect personal boundaries if there is anything you are not comfortable participating in.

If you have injuries, we will do our best to ensure you can still participate on your own terms.

We have facilitators and helpers at all sessions – so please just let one of them know if you step out, so we know you are okay – or speak to one of them if you need to talk.

What about accommodation?

If you are lucky, you might still be able to book a room. There is a lovely camping area where you can pitch your tent. We also have space in dormitories if you prefer that. In dormitories, 10-15 people sleep together. Toilets and showers are available for tent campers as well. If you bring a tent, you are welcome to arrive from 11:00 on Friday to pitch it. Regardless of whether you sleep in a tent or a dormitory, you must bring your own sleeping mat, duvet/sleeping bag, and pillow. If you sleep in a room, you must bring a duvet cover, pillowcase, and sheet – alternatively, you can rent them at check-in.

What about food?

Full board is provided throughout Mand21. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are meat-free meals. We offer vegan and gluten-free options. You are welcome to bring your own fruit and snacks.

Thomas Buch-Andersen
Coach, Facilitator, Journalist
(Initiator & Facilitator)

"Many men falter when it comes to sensing their needs and their ability to fulfil them. But only by looking inwards, at our upbringing, relationships, and our own role, can we truly be there for those we dream of seeing flourish and for the community. It has never been more important for men to meet shoulder to shoulder."

Sofus Midtgaard
Entrepreneur/co-founder: Dinnr.co and GreenKayak
(Initiator & Facilitator)

"When did you last truly feel what you genuinely long for in life? Perhaps you haven't allowed yourself that thought for a long time? Maybe everyday life, children, repayments, and loans got in the way? We hope you have the time and desire to do something that can change your life. I had to be dragged along by a couple of friends the first time. If you can feel both the desire and the resistance, it's a sign that the time is right."
