CHAKRA

Sources of Energy in the Body

At the Adamas Center, we focus on understanding and working with the body’s chakras, which are vital energy centers that play a central role in our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Chakras are points in the body where life energy—also known as prana—is concentrated and circulates.

What Are Chakras?

Chakras, which means “wheels” in Sanskrit, refer to the primary energy centers in the body. Each chakra corresponds to specific bodily functions, psychological and emotional states, as well as spiritual aspects. By balancing these chakras, one can promote healing and well-being on many levels.

The chakras are about understanding the energy centers in our bodies. By getting to know the chakras and being mindful of them, we can gain an understanding of where we are in life—and what we need to pay attention to. Are there blockages, or is the energy flowing freely? If you notice a blockage in one of your chakras, you can delve into it and awaken the chakra through various mental and physical exercises. The more flow you have in all your chakras, the more balance you’ll have in your body and soul.

The Vertical and Horizontal Axes

The vertical axis from the earth point to the essence point is about energy cultivation, tantric consciousness, and energy awareness. It encompasses spiritual energy, love, strength, selfless sexuality, meditation, the present moment, responsibility, instinct, tantra, and primal power.

The horizontal axis runs through the center of the energy system; this is where the “I” resides, along with projections and emotions. These are: the “I,” greed, materialism, projection, desire, consumption, status, and romance.

Understanding these principles offers an opportunity to live life differently. By consciously finding balance
