Healing
Healing helps wounds heal—whether they are physical or emotional. Healing can have a calming effect, but it can also bring turmoil from the deeper layers of consciousness up to the surface, giving you the opportunity to work through it.
The body is the home of the soul, and we know what it means to keep our physical home tidy and clean. The same applies to the body and the soul. Every now and then, we need to tackle a major cleanup. That’s when we’re given the opportunity to really get to work and begin the process.
Healing takes place on different levels and different planes of consciousness. Fundamentally, all people have healing potential that can be refined more or less consciously. Healing can take place on a treatment table with a trained healer—healing can be sitting in another person’s presence and being seen—healing can be taking a walk in nature—healing can be receiving a loving hug. Some people have a natural healing aura or vocal vibration. We can receive healing in so many infinite ways. Just as we can also channel healing energy to ourselves.
We have various healers affiliated with the center who offer one-on-one sessions. You can find them on the " Practitioners" page.
At Adamas, we approach healing in a variety of ways. Some retreats focus primarily on healing, while in others it is integrated without being explicitly mentioned. Healing energy is a natural and fundamental part of the Adamas Center.
Techniques
A healer usually works in a meditative state and acts as a channel for spiritual energy. During a healing session, the healer draws on universal energy—and at the end, the healer returns it.
As a healer, it’s about creating a safe space filled with closeness and presence—a place where you can be a pure channel.
For example, a healer may work with:
Traditional Healing
Aura Healing
Chakra Healing
Usui Reiki Healing
Voice Healing
Sound Healing
Massage
Tantra
Meditation
Clairvoyance
Colors
Symbols
Crystals
Essential Oils
Treatments
Your task during a healing session is to relax and be aware of your body.
You’ll usually lie on your back during the session. You’ll have a blanket draped over you and perhaps a pillow under your head. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Let go of your thoughts and let them drift away. Be aware of your body and stay present in the moment while the healer works around you. If you feel like moving your body with the energy, sharing what you’re feeling, or doing something else entirely, that’s fine, too. The bottom line is that, as the recipient, you can’t do anything wrong.
The healer usually begins by tuning in to you and establishing a ground connection. During the healing session, the healer typically moves around the treatment table. In Reiki and physical healing, the healer places their hands on various parts of your body—the touch can be gentle or firm, depending on the energy. In aura healing, the healer’s hands hover over your body and work with the energies in your aura.
Healing is largely about focus, presence, and awareness. As a healer, it is important to purify yourself beforehand and open up a clear channel to the energy.
Whether or not you fall asleep during a healing session—the energy is still at work. It continues to work in the days that follow, during which you may very well experience reactions from the treatment.
Remote Healing
Healing can also take place remotely. A healer who offers remote healing can provide you with a session no matter where in the world you are. By tuning into your energy and supporting you through remote healing.
Info
Program If you choose to see a healer, we generally recommend a program where you come in regularly for treatments over a period of time, so you can delve deeply into the process.
Clothing
We recommend flexible, soft clothing that allows you to move freely. Some practitioners also welcome you to lie down without clothes. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and can relax.
Hygiene
At Adamas, we are generally committed to maintaining good hygiene; for example, blankets and sheets are changed and washed after every treatment.

Medical Science and Holistic Treatment
Healing can complement medical science, but we do not recommend using it as a substitute for medication. If you are undergoing a course of treatment, the healer would like to know this before you begin the healing session. We also have a network of various other skilled alternative practitioners throughout the country whom we can refer you to as needed.
