Adamas Center is located in picturesque Langeland, part of the UNESCO-designated South Fyn Archipelago. Langeland is a true paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The island boasts an almost complete collection of Denmark's bird species, from majestic birds of prey to colourful songbirds. This rich birdlife adds a magical dimension to the island's atmosphere, highlighting the area's status as a spiritual power spot where visitors can experience nature's healing and spiritual forces.
The island's natural splendour is complemented by wild horses that graze freely in several places on Langeland. These beautiful animals add a wild and unpredictable charm to the landscape, offering visitors unique and unforgettable nature experiences.

UNESCO
UNESCO Global Geopark Det Sydfynske Øhav tells a remarkable story of geological changes and cultural development. Here, the history unfolds of a significant sea-level rise at the end of the Ice Age, which shaped a unique landscape and influenced both nature and culture in the area for over 10,000 years.
At the heart of the geopark, the relationship between the forces of nature and human existence is central. We explore how landscapes have sculpted culture and society, demonstrating how these elements are inextricably linked and mutually dependent.
Geopark Det Sydfynske Øhav stretches far and wide, from Helnæs in the west to Langeland's east coast, with Ærø to the south and the South Fyn coast to the north. The area also includes parts of Faaborg-Midtfyn and Svendborg municipalities, offering a mosaic of experiences and stories without traditional park boundaries.
Experiences
Visit the geopark and discover how the Earth's geological processes have shaped our contemporary landscape and the living conditions we know today. The geopark offers an Ice Age landscape of international class, where submerged Ice Age landforms bear witness to a dynamic geological past.

UNESCO's designation of the area in spring 2024 as a Global Geopark is an acknowledgement of the area's significance for both global understanding and local value creation, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and UNESCO's principles. It demonstrates how we humans are connected to, and dependent on, the Earth's resources.
Experience this historically and culturally rich corner of Denmark, known since the Middle Ages for its idyll and beauty, and where geology has designated places such as Klintholm Limestone Quarries, Ristinge Cliff, and Det Sydfynske Øhav as international Geosites.
